Pin Cancer

Pin Cancer is a call to action to help defeat the world’s toughest opponent by rallying the greater US wrestling community in the fight against cancer. 1 in 2 people are directly affected by cancer. Pin Cancer seeks to become how every level of the wrestling community can fight cancer and raise awareness, together. Pin Cancer (PC) was founded in 2011 by a former New Jersey wrestler and current coach Dan Tramontozzi after finding out his mother was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. Being affected first hand, and still heavily involved with the wrestling community, Dan wanted to unite the sport and form an organization that could help inspire awareness and raise funds to support cancer research. He turned to his Bloomsburg roommate and long-time friend, Jared Ferreira who thought the story behind Dan’s plan was compelling and motivating. Jared, who has had success with developing businesses and non-profit programs himself immediately joined the team to expand on Dan’s vision. 2011. Pin Cancer is incorporated. Later in the year, PC files for 501c3 non-profit status and is granted the status by the IRS. 2012. Pin Cancer enhances social media interactivity through a newly revitalized website designed and built by Pin Cancer’s own Dan Tramontozzi and Jared Ferreira. Pin Cancer is trademarked. 2013. Pin Cancer is active in 22 states across the country. Youth and Collegiate wrestling programs have been at the center of our success. From holding fundraisers, designated matches and tournaments as Pin Cancer events to selling branded merchandise, the PC brand has been translated in many ways. Additional virtual platforms are also added by way of an online store to sell merchandise. A new logo is introduced further focusing brand awareness. 2014. Pin Cancer has shipped orders to every state in the U.S. including Canada and the U.K. Pin Cancer is now active in all 50 states. 2015. Pin Cancer sets goal to raise $250,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

Rondey Fisher Scholarship Fund

The Fisher Family has put this fund raiser on annually for years to
 1) remember Rodney Fisher who left us early due to a 4 wheeler accident. and 2) Raise money to give back to the PV mini-wrestlers and to the PV HS wrestlers!!  Pretty cool huh?  Please try to support this effort. They host an annual fund raiser be on the lookout for info and please try to support them.
